London Philharmonic Orchestra / Anne-Sophie Mutter / Pablo Ferrández / Edward Gardner
Mendelssohn Bartholdy / Brahms / Dvořák
Twice the virtuosity
It’s a true musical summit meeting when the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Anne-Sophie Mutter and Pablo Ferrández all gather together on the Elbphilharmonie stage under conductor Edward Gardner. Mutter and Ferrández have been a well-established team for many years, the latter being one of »Mutter’s virtuosi«, the circle of talented young musicians she supports and with whom she loves to tour. Having made the leap onto the world’s major concert stages, established a name for himself internationally through his YouTube presence and won a number of awards, Ferrández is now a sought-after soloist in his own right. And when Mutter and Ferrández perform Johannes Brahms’s Double Concerto together, it’s the perfect opportunity to revel in their musicality and virtuosity.
