London Brass
»Spaß mit Brass« / »Fun with Brass«
Having emerged from the famous Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, London Brass is now one of the world’s most renowned brass ensembles. The ten musicians are all members of the major London orchestras and have selected a mixture of virtuosic arrangements of great classical works and pop music for their concert at the Elbphilharmonie – British humour included, of course. Brass bands have a long and proud tradition in the English-speaking world, with a history that can be traced back to the bands of the coal mines. By now, the professional ensembles recruit their musicians almost exclusively from renowned orchestras across England.
