»La bella più bella«
Roberta Invernizzi & Friends
Soprano Roberta Invernizzi is especially known for her interpretations of Italian music of the baroque era. For her »La bella più bella« project, she concentrates on the »nuove musiche«. In this new genre of music developed in Italy at the beginning of the 17th century, a song is performed by a soloist accompanied by one or very few instruments. In her concert, Roberta Invernizzi is accompanied by excellent musicians on the lute, theorbo and violoncello, who also perform solo. The repertoire ranges from the well-known works of Claudio Monteverdi to rarely-heard pieces by Giovanni Kapsperger and Luigi Rossi – the latter’s song »La bella più bella« is deployed for the title of this evening’s concert programme.
