Klangforum Wien / »Symposion« / »Symposium«
»Greatest Hits« / Festival for Contemporary Music
The last concert at the festival is especially fitting: »intoxication« is the motto of this year’s »Greatest Hits« festival, which combines works from Boulez to Varèse with contemporary compositions over the space of four days at Kampnagel and the Elbphilharmonie. To conclude the festival, the Klangforum Wien is putting on a »Symposium« where the audience can abandon itself completely to consumption – and not just of the musical kind. Relax on cushions, futons and comfortable seating while Klangforum Wien’s musicians perform bewitching works of our time in a number of concert fragments. During the intervals, food and wine are served – let the fruit of the vine gradually change your perception and enjoy a mood of peaceful intoxication! You can look forward to a metaphorical stroll between the worlds of Apollo and Dionysus, with the boundaries becoming blurred and vanishing in the course of the night.
