Kekko Fornarelli Trio & String Orchestra

Kekko Fornarelli’s music is an evolved combination of modern northern European ideas and neo-classicist lyricism, with cutting-edge rhythmic styles and his audibly warm, Mediterranean background. The Kekko Fornarelli Trio is currently one of the most respected jazz bands on the international scene. The ensemble – consisting of the three Italian virtuosos Kekko Fornarelli, Federico Pecoraro and Dario Congedo – has been performing around the world to great acclaim since 2011. At its premiere at the Elbphilharmonie, the trio, together with conductor and arranger Leo Gadaleta and twelve string players, present a brand-new programme.
