Hand in hand for a good cause

The Kammersinfonie Hamburg plays a benefit concert in the Laeiszhalle for the NDR campaign »Hand in Hand für Norddeutschland«. The concert is intended to radiate an Advent flair. The concert will begin with the »Carol Symphony« by the English composer Victor Hely-Hutchinson, which is hardly known in Germany but is a great musical hit in England. Afterwards, the well-known Trumpet Concerto by Joseph Haydn will be played by the up-and-coming trumpeter Valentin Annerbo. After the interval, things get wintry with Leopold Mozart’s »The Musical Sleigh Ride«. Finally, it will be adventurous once again with the »Christmas Overture« by Otto Nicolai. As a special feature in this concert, the well-known actor and chansonnier Gustav Peter Wöhler will lead through the programme as an emcee and also read three Christmas stories.
