Jugend-Sinfonieorchester Ahrensburg
Mendelssohn / Doppler / Beethoven
Once again in 2019 the Jugend-Sinfonieorchester Ahrensburg, under its young new chief conductor Sönke Grohmann, can be seen performing its annual symphony concert in the Laeiszhalle Grand Hall.
In addition to two overtures by Beethoven and Mendelssohn, and Beethoven’s brilliant Symphony No. 1 in C major, the orchestra is also performing a rarely-played Romantic gem: Albert Doppler’s Double Concerto for Two Flutes, which the composer performed in Hamburg during his lifetime on one of his many concert tours.
