Wanderer between two worlds

The Spanish pianist Juan Pérez Floristán has won several international awards over the course of his short career. In addition to his triumph at the Kissingen Piano Olympics in 2018, the 28-year-old musician has also won first prize at the prestigious Arthur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv and at the Paloma O’Shea Piano Competition in Santander. His playing is characterised by transparency, virtuosity and a profound understanding of the works’ architecture. Besides German Classicism and Romanticism, the music of his homeland is particularly close to his heart.
