Jongdo An / Piano Recital
»Brückenschlag«
The interpretations of the South Korean pianist Jongdo An always receive an enthusiastic reception from both audiences and critics. They allow, »every listener to become lost and let themselves fall for a moment in the flow of the music« (Ruhr Nachricht). After winning the prestigious Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Piano Competition in Paris in 2012, Jongdo An relocated to Hamburg to pursue his love of German music. In order to fully express the special qualities of his musicality, these days Jongdo An devotes himself mainly to two musical styles that also constitute the focus of his programme for this concert: French baroque music and the German repertoire.
