Israeli pianist Doron Segal was only seven when he started to study the piano at the conservatoire of Karmel in the north of Israel. After his brother got him interested in jazz at the age of 16, Segal played in various jazz projects, and enrolled as a student at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance when he was 21. After graduating, he moved to Berlin in 2014, where he quickly became an active figure in the city’s prospering music scene.

Jazz at the Kulturcafé is a monthly event presenting the most promising upcoming artists in the jazz and singer-songwriter scene. It is the perfect experimental platform for musicians and bands from Hamburg and all over the country. The atmosphere is laid back – and admission is free!
