Ian Bostridge / Oxalys Ensemble
Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival
English country outing
The British tenor Ian Bostridge is known around the world as one of the most fascinating singers of our time. »He is a story-teller and a singing-actor par excellence, with an immense range of emotional expression«, says the London Evening Standard about the singer, who holds a D. Phil. in history from Oxford. Alongside his unparalleled singing career, he has also written a book about Schubert’s »Winterreise«, which has become a definitive work in the field. Together with the outstanding Oxalys Ensemble from Belgium, Bostridge is setting off on a romantic and musical journey through the gentle landscapes of his native England in summer with compositions by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Peter Warlock, Gustav Holst and many more.
