Hamburger Camerata
»Mozart Night«
This concert evening with the Hamburger Camerata also features the return of violinist Albrecht Menzel, whose performance in the Hamburger Camerata’s Elbphilharmonie debut was recently described in the media as a »brilliant and highly virtuosic achievement«.
Two of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s early symphonies provide a frame for three other very interesting pieces. The concert is centred around Alfred Schnittke’s homage composition »Moz-Art«, while French flair is provided by Ernest Chausson’s Concerto for Violin, Piano and String Quartet, one of the composer’s most-performed works, and by the virtuosic »Rondo capriccioso« by Camille Saint-Saëns.
Musical direction is in the capable hands of violist, conductor and passionate chamber musician Hartmut Rohde.
