Hamburg Sounds: Stefan Gwildis

Stefan Gwildis is living proof that New York, Chicago and New Orleans aren’t the only places you can find goosebumps-inducing soul music – it can also come from the neighbourhood of Barmbek in Hamburg. The »German soul man of the north« has been delighting audiences on various concert stages around Northern Germany for many years. As part of German public broadcaster NDR 90,3’s concert series »Hamburg Sounds«, the charismatic singer now performs in the special ambience of the Rolf Liebermann Studio, supported by the Landesjugendorchester Hamburg, which has been an integral part of the city’s musical landscape since 1968.
