Gidon Kremer/ Khatia Buniatishvili / Kremerata Baltica
Haydn / Schubert / Kancheli
Out-of-the-ordinary programmes have been the hallmark of Gidon Kremer’s top ensemble, Kremerata Baltica, from their very first appearance at the select chamber music setting of the Lockenhaus Festival. Since then, the chamber orchestra, together with its charismatic spiritus rector, has been a guarantee for ambitious arrangements and varied discoveries beyond the beaten repertoire track.
With Georgian pianist Khatia Buniatishvili, known for her virtuoso and passionate playing, they have a soloist at their side in Hamburg who will have no trouble making the leap from Haydn’s featherweight piano concerto to Kancheli’s expressive »Valse Boston«.
