Funkelkonzert S / Twinkle Concert S / Die Kiesel tun, was sie können / The Pebbles Do What They Can
Concert for Children: Ages 1-3
Anything is possible in the garden of the imagination - this is the message of the hit production » Les cailloux font ce qu’ils peuvent« (The Pebbles Do What They Can) by the French group Compagnie Tafftas. In this musical theatre piece for children aged 1 to 3, a small pile of stones comes to life and narrates exciting stories.
Everything in the garden seems to be dead – the trees are withered and the pond overgrown. Not a single leaf is blowing in the wind, not a single flower is in bloom. But when two performance artists enter the stage, the garden is transformed. Stones become talking entities and pieces of paper turn into flying dragons. Everything rings, buzzes, splashes and shines. Supported by an improvised percussion performance, everything that happens in the garden is a product of their imagination.
In the interplay between music and scenery, they roam through day and night discovering life between heaven and earth – not through the eyes of grown-ups but through those of children.
Inspired by the conviction that every object is infused with life, the musical theatre piece »The Pebbles Do What They Can« can now be experienced in Germany for the first time. It is performed by Samuel Galhaut, Philippe Dulin, Jean-Pierre Dulin and Jocelyn Asciak.
