»The Streets at Christmas Time«: in his Christmas programme in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall, songwriter and chansonnier Felix Meyer performs songs by artists from Tracy Chapman to Nirvana in German translation. Meyer was born in Berlin and now lives in Hamburg. He was discovered through his numerous street concerts in pedestrian zones and public squares with his band project île, before finally making the jump to Germany’s concert stages. Meyer made his name performing songs such as »Der Wind trägt uns davon« and »Gelegenheit macht Liebe«, but these days, alongside his own compositions, he mainly sings German translations of French chansons.
