Exile Orchestra Mriya
»Ein Weihnachtstraum« / Ukrainian Benefit and Thank-You Concert
Musical Dream
The Ukrainian exile orchestra Mriya (the dream), which gave its founding concert at Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle in April 2022, is returning to its founding venue after successes at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Glocke Bremen, the SPD Cultural Forum with Dr Carsten Brosda and the PES Congress with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
After 63 concerts since April last year, the orchestra, led by outstanding Ukrainian musicians, presents a big thank-you and benefit concert with a Ukrainian choir. All tickets fees will be donated to charitable organisations for refugee and humanitarian aid in Hamburg. At the end of the concert, the musicians invite you to sing traditional Christmas carols together. Beforehand, the orchestra demonstrates its musical excellence with works by Edvard Grieg, Arcangelo Corelli, Valentin Silvestrov and Myroslaw Skoryk.
