Futurism and tradition
The Belgian-Ghanian multi-instrumentalist is famous for her futuristic flute sounds. Her compositions carry in them traces of countless cultural and musical influences she has collected over the course of her life, on her journeys and through a multitude of encounters. ESINAM’s music takes the listener through powerful, complex rhythms and poetic texts, always embedded in the unique worlds of »Electronic Afro Jazz«. She creates a very special sound that is rooted in culture and tradition but that still flies freely, not least through the use of her own loops and samples.
