The Érard concert grand from the 19th century gives new life to the spirit of the Romantic age. Mendelssohn, Schumann and Chopin were profoundly influenced by the sound of this instrument. The Érard Soirée features works from the period 1820–1880, in which the Érard name enjoyed undisputed international renown. This concert celebrates the numerous facets of Romanticism, from Schubert’s late work to Mendelssohn, Schumann and Chopin’s most mature productions.
