Maximalistic soundscapes, inspired by sources as varied as Arab folk music and Lana Del Rey: that’s how the Norwegian indie band Einar Stray Orchestra describes its own style. The third album released by lead singer and pianist Einar Stray and his band, »Dear Bigotry« (2017), is the Norwegian answer to a life full of privilege, with endless opportunities that threaten to overwhelm us. It is an examination of his own upbringing, of double standards and his love-hate relationship with his native country.
