For many years, these two subtle musicians have been considered a dream team of chamber music: Bach expert Martin Stadtfeld and festival creator Jan Vogler – who just recently recorded Schumann’s cello concerto with the Dresden Festival Orchestra, which he founded – meet up again as guests at the Elbphilharmonie with a programme that beautifully combines their qualities. With Ivor Bolton at the conductor’s stand, they have a trusted partner who equally appreciates this sensitive musical union.
