Programmes that forge connections between utterly different eras are the speciality of pianist David Greilsammer. In his recital he juxtaposes piano sonatas by Baroque composer Domenico Scarlatti with works from the pen of John Cage.

In Cage’s compositions, everything revolves around the so-called prepared piano, where the composer extends the instrument’s sound spectrum with screws, erasers or pieces of wood.
