Danish String Quartet
Sørensen / Schubert – 2G+ AND PHYSICAL DISTANCE
Ancient dances and flickering worlds
The story of the Danish String Quartet sounds almost too idyllic to be true: the three founding members got to know each other as children in a summer camp in the Danish countryside, where they played football and chamber music every day. Having now grown to be four, they like to compare themselves to the Vikings because of their beards, and together make up one of the most-respected string quartets in the classical music world. They have already captured the hearts of Hamburg audiences numerous times, and they return again this season with some fantastic music – from ancient dances to a contemporary work.
