Daniel Hope / Orchester l’arte del mondo
Vivaldi ReComposed
Hardly any other piece of classical music is as well-known as Vivaldi’s »Four Seasons«. The four violin concertos can be heard everywhere – as advertising jingles and elevator music as well as in the concert hall! But to this day, the music has lost none of its fascination and festive charm. With his arrangement »Vivaldi ReComposed«, British composer Max Richter has caused a worldwide sensation. He transports the work to the present day, but still sticks closely to the original score. Star violinist Daniel Hope has only good things to say about it: »This arrangement of one of the most sacred pieces in the repertoire has given me immense pleasure. Max Richter’s reworking of this radical tour de force for solo violin places completely new demands on my hearing – and at the same time has renewed my interest in the Vivaldi original.«
Please note: Hamburg’s port anniversary celebrations take place from 10-13 May in the immediate vicinity of the Elbphilharmonie. As a result, access to the Elbphilharmonie is restricted. Closures and restrictions during port anniversary.
