Concerto con Anima / Chor St. Michaelis

This year »Lux aeterna« presents an institution firmly established in Hamburg’s music scene: the Choir of St. Michaelis, conducted by Director of Music Christoph Schoener. The choir performs Mozart’s Requiem, a work that provides the perfect ingredients for a musical myth: The composer died over his score, the work was left unfinished. Yet even without these external circumstances the requiem is without doubt one of the most significant works of music literature and overwhelms the listener with its spiritual power.
