Christian Tetzlaff
Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival
In the 30-year history of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, only once has a violinist dared to perform all six of Bach’s sonatas and partitas in one evening: that was Christian Tetzlaff. Almost 20 years later, the Hamburg-born violinist is back to perform the same feat again. The demands in terms of concentration, mental incisiveness and creativity are enormous in this bold and singular cycle of works for violin with no accompaniment. Those who open themselves to the experience in this intensive, intimate concert will be richly rewarded – with breathtaking, inspiring music that deeply touches the soul.
