Chor zur Welt
HAPPY END, RENATURED – Hamburg International Music Festival
The power of hope
What does hope smell like? What colour is it? How does it sound? Over the last few months, these questions have been occupying the members of the Chor zur Welt – one of the Elbphilharmonie’s most popular join-in ensembles, which brings people from different countries together to sing. Because they all agree that we need hope these days more than ever. For its latest project, the choir has joined forces with the composer Max Andrzejewski, »one of the leading creative minds in contemporary German jazz« (Süddeutsche Zeitung). The result is a radiant work that explores doubt, resignation and, above all, their powerful counterpart – hope.
