Between melancholy and lust for life
With works from the 19th and 20th centuries, this concert covers a diverse spectrum. Maurice Ravel’s »Le Tombeau de Couperin« is impossible to pigeonhole stylistically. The rich, shape-changing flow of colour testifies to the composer’s immutable language: at times elegant, classicistic and stable, at times bitonal and avantgarde, and sometimes colourfully impressionistic.
