Ein Fest für Johann Sebastian Bach

For many people, Johann Sebastian Bach is considered the most important of all composers. The chamber music festival Bach 100.000! celebrates this great composer of the Baroque era in many different ways and from many different perspectives. Chamber music by Johann Sebastian Bach? Is that possible? Certainly! Core genres of chamber music such as string quartet and piano trio had not yet been »invented« in Bach’s day. So the trio sonata from Bach’s »Musikalisches Opfer« is the focus of the evening. Also: music from the »Goldberg Variations« in the version for string trio. A flute sonata and much more. And what would Bach be without the great organ? It will be heard in a piano concerto in the version for piano and organ.
