Maria Schneider stands for jazz compositions in Cinemascope format, for profound works in superb arrangements tailor-made for the orchestra she founded herself in 1992. It seems an eternity since she last appeared in Germany with her legendary band. But now the wait is over: the Maria Schneider Orchestra’s European tour in early 2022 also brings the band to Hamburg for their Elbphilharmonie debut.
