»Wir trotzen dem Ernst der Konzertsäle, dem grauen Musikeralltag, eingeschworenen Melomanen aber auch Rock-, Rap- und Popfans, die vor der Klassik flüchten. Dabei behandeln wir unsere Mutter Musik mit Witz und Ironie und sind sicher, dass sie uns das nicht übelnimmt.« Die vier Virtuosen des polnischen Streichquartetts »MozART group« spielen seit 1995 zusammen und stehen seitdem für die anspruchsvolle Kombination von Klassischer Musik und Kabarett – in der Tradition von Musikern wie Victor Borge, Gerad Hoffnung und Danny Kaye. Anfangs zeigten sie kurze musikalische Gags im Fernsehprogramm von Canal Plus. Danach gaben sie 1997 ihr erstes Konzert beim Wettbewerb junger polnischer Kabarettisten in Krakau und gewannen diesen auf Anhieb. Noch im selben Jahr entstand ihr erstes Kabarettprogramm mit dem Titel »Mozart lebt immer noch«. In Polen hat das Quartett bereits Kultstatus erreicht - mit jährlich über 150 Konzerten weltweit gewinnt die MozART group sei einigen Jahren nun auch zunehmend Fans auf ihren Tourneen durch Brasilien, Costa Rica, Deutschland, Polen, Frankreich, China, der Slowakei, Portugal, Island, der Tschechischen Republik, der Schweiz, Russland und der Ukraine. »Durchgeknallt aber geistvoll!« titulierte ein Kritiker 2011 traf damit zeitlos ins Schwarze.

Since 1908, the Laeiszhalle has been a meeting place for Hamburg's musical life. The neo-baroque Laeiszhalle Grand Hall accommodates over 2,000 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Facilities for ladies are located behind the cloakrooms on all floors. Facilities for gentlemen can be found on the landing between the floors, also located behind the cloakrooms.
A fully accessible toilet for persons with mobility disabilities is located behind the cloakroom on the ground floor (Parkett links).

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
