These are true experts at work! Not only does the quartet offer perfectly balanced sound and an almost telepathic connection between its musicians, they also possess charisma and sweeping energy. This combination has left listeners spellbound for more than two decades. In 2015, the four musicians celebrated their 20th anniversary. They enchant audiences by playing at the highest possible level, with the greatest technical virtuosity.

The Belcea Quartett is exploring »last« string quartets in this concert. Both works in the programme are final compositions by Shostakovich and Schubert.  Because of their disturbing radicalism, these multilayered works are touchstones for any world-class ensemble: they break free from conventions and demand extreme playing. Expect an evening full of expressivity and adventure.
