»Christmas in Europe«
A European Christmas
Please note: This event takes place according to the »2G« regulation – only people who are vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19 will be admitted: Your visit during the coronavirus pandemic
Christmas is celebrated through song across Europe, be that in Germany, Poland, Iceland or France. Making music with friends, relatives or a community brings people together, regardless of national, linguistic or cultural boundaries. For the Balthasar Neumann Choir, which has been bringing musicians from across Europe together for projects for 30 years, this notion was an important concept from the very beginning. At this year’s Christmas celebration, the choir presents a programme featuring songs from all over Europe, including traditional Nordic carols, Spanish villancicos, Russian hymns and pieces by Mendelssohn.
