arabesques Hamburg / Paul Rivinius
»Dans les rues de Paris – Between Romanticism and Modernism«
With the »Groupe des Six«, a new generation of young French composers began to write »musical prose« after the First World War – everyday music depicting the pulsating life of the metropolis Paris. The celebrated pianist Paul Rivinius and the Hamburg-based ensemble arabesques contrast works by Poulenc and Ibert with the world of Holst and Magnard, charming audience’s ears with the final sounds of the Romantic era.
