Anton Batagov sees his programme »Du bist die Ruh« (You are Peace) as a journey through minimalist works that were composed in different centuries. As far as this programme is concerned, there is no such thing as classical music, early music or contemporary music. For Batagov, it is not important when each of these pieces was written or who composed them: for him, music is not a collection of marks on paper – music is sound.
