Virtuoso balancing act

»I’m crazy about my profession.« The quotation comes from André Previn, it’s true, but Anne-Sophie Mutter would probably put her name to it as well. The star violinist and all-round musician Previn were husband and wife for a while, and they also had a shared passion for music. André Previn was a marvel of artistic versatility, an exceptional musician whose creativity knew almost no bounds. The violin concerto that he wrote in 2005 bears the title »Anne-Sophie«, and is tailor-made for the violinist.
