Anna Khomichko, piano
»Mozart and His Europe« / Works by Mozart, C.P.E. Bach, J.C. Bach and Clementi
Overshadowed by the Salzburg prodigy
With her programme »Mozart and His Europe«, pianist Anna Khomichko illuminates the musical connection between Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and a trio of his contemporaries: the Bach sons Carl Philipp Emanuel and Johann Christian as well as the Italian Englishman Muzio Clementi. They were all important figures in the music scene of the time, but were later more or less overshadowed by the Salzburg prodigy, for whose artistic development they were nevertheless of particular importance.
