Anewal is the new trio of singer and guitarist Alhousseini Anivollaist, who made a name for himself with his band Etran Finatawa from Niger. As a widely travelled musician, Anivollaist blends his musical roots with new sounds, and delights audiences with a hypnotic, bluesy sound. Desert blues expresses the dry, dusty longing of the desert like no other musical genre.
