Between Beatles and Brexit

As frontman of »Die Toten Hosen«, Campino is one of Germany’s most popular musicians. But that’s only one side of the story. The other side starts with Kevin Keegan, the English football forward, who became Campino’s great idol in the 1970s. As the son of an English mother and a German father, Campino saw the soccer player as a role model and a source of relief at one and the same time. Since then, his decision to support the world’s best football club embodies the contradictions of his origins and his love for a country somewhere between the Beatles and Brexit. Campino tells the whole story in his book »Hope Street. Wie ich einmal englischer Meister wurde«.
