Alexandra Stréliski & Streichquartett
»Néo-Romance«
A refreshing change
Since the release of her debut album »Pianoscope« in 2010, the Montreal-based pianist and composer Alexandra Stréliski has been celebrated in her homeland as one of the leading figures in modern classical music. »Pianoscope«, which was originally self-released, has been streamed more than 15 million times and been featured in a number of film and TV projects – including Jean-Marc Vallée’s »Dallas Buyers Club«. Before the first record deal was signed, Stréliski and her mother shipped out the first copies of the album from their basement. The 2018 follow-up »Inscape« would even go on to top that success: it has sold 300,000 copies – platinum!
