Alexander Yakovlev / Piano Recital

Pianist Alexander Yakovlev is a graduate of the Rostov State Conservatory, where he also completed postgraduate studies and studied composition. He then studied at the Salzburg Mozarteum and in Berlin at the Universität der Künste. Yakovlev’s international career grew rapidly after he won the 2006 Chopin Competition in Rome, where he was gifted a concert grand piano as well as the Grand Prix. The Vatican radio broadcast of his performance of the Mozart Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor was heard worldwide.
