Albrecht Mayer / I Musici di Roma
Vivaldi / Elmi / Castrucci
Whenever there is an occasion to celebrate, Baroque music is never far away. It has become the epitome of the celebratory sound – with fluttering trumpets and resounding timpani, as well as delicate pastoral sounds and beautiful arias that make your heart melt. Especially so around Christmas! This December, Albrecht Mayer, solo oboist from the Berlin Philharmonic, brings some festive cheer to the Elbphilharmonie with the wonderfully warm sound of his oboe. I Musici di Roma and Mayer stage a festive celebration of musical joy and beauty with concertos by Sammartini, Marcello and Vivaldi.
