The Lübeck Philharmonic Orchestra makes a guest appearance in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall with one of the best-known works of its genre. Brahms’s »A German Requiem« is not a gloomy mass for the dead, but a score full of comfort, hope and confidence, which makes the gigantic choral work unique to this day. The orchestra from Lübeck joins forces here with one of Hamburg’s best-known choirs, the Carl-Philipp-Emanuel-Bach-Chor.
