Spooky Magic Orchestra at the Hotel Hunger

»That was so good. I’d love to come back every year!«, promised Sophie Hunger after her acclaimed performance at the Reflektor Festival in the Elbphilharmonie. With her long-awaited eighth studio album, »Fall and Rise at Hotel Hunger«, the singer is back and set to have the audience on their feet once again.

Following her sold-out solo tour promoting her award-winning novel »Walzer für Niemand«, Sophie Hunger is now looking forward to performing with a multi-voiced ensemble. Transverse flute, marimba, cello drones and classical piano weave together with her to form a haunting, genre-bending magical orchestra. In doing so, the singer-songwriter unites what classical music usually separates: composition, libretto and interpretation. In a single night, from sunset to dawn, Hunger guides us through spaces, time zones and identities in search of the new morning.

Singer, composer, author – Sophie Hunger has often demonstrated just how versatile and talented she is across many fields of art and entertainment. The cosmopolitan artist from Switzerland sings in German, English, French – and, of course, Swiss German. Whatever the language, she always finds the right words to convey her emotional world to the outside world.
