Description
How much time do we have left on this earth? When will natural resources be depleted? When will natural disasters, rising sea levels and novel diseases bring us to our knees? These questions also occupy Patricia Kopatchinskaja, a fiery violinist who fears neither traditions nor their renewal. In her new project »Les Adieux«, she makes a statement on climate change and nature conservation – a fitting topic in line with this year’s Hamburg Music Festival theme of »nature«, and also fully in alignment with her personal decision to travel by rail to concerts, rather than fly, from now on.
