Wonderful things happen on this Christmas Eve, as Marie lovingly rocks her nutcracker to sleep and the hands of the large grandfather clock move towards midnight. Told in an expressive and sensitive way by Martin Sieveking, this family concert takes listeners of all ages by the hand and immerses them in this magical story. The well-known music by Piotr Tchaikovsky is performed in a special version for two grand pianos and a varied, colourful percussion section. The stage design by Jana Beckmann makes this concert an experience for all the senses.
