Description
When a »Whoosh!« sweeps across the stage, your skin will tingle because the invisible wind is magical. The Dutch ensemble Hoeken van de Kammermuziek guides the breeze through their instruments and it is transformed in a wondrous way into music. One of the most successful European musical theatre productions of the last few years for children aged 1 to 3.
Children use all their senses as they explore the world around them. They taste, smell, listen, see and feel. The three musicians in this scenic musical concert – Bastiaan Woltjer (trumpet and tuba), Anneke Wensink (French horn and flute) and Rudi van Hest (clarinet and bass clarinet) – take exactly the same approach. Using their breath and the wind produced as a result, they take their audience into a world in which nothing is spoken other than music – at times sensitive and quiet, at other times comical and loud.
Together, they experience fantastical adventures during which they not only get to know the others but also themselves, and they ultimately discover the minor and major issues of life – just as children do when they grow up.
