Chopin was gay? Many classical composers today would probably describe themselves as queer as a matter of course. But during their respective lifetimes? »Forget me not« tells the queer life stories of well-known and lesser-known composers such as Ethel Smyth, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Schubert and Leonard Bernstein, making queer history in the process! With songs ranging from classical to jazz and musicals as well as accompanying moderation, the artists take the audience on a journey through our history. A concert that lifts the veil of heteronormative historiography and thus contributes to the visibility of queer role models.
