Dr. Sound is a world-famous and extremely qualified professional expert in Sound and Noise Research. For over half a decade he and presenter Sebastian Dunkelberg have had the wildest adventures. This time they have to solve a real crime: Dr. Sound’s archive of sounds and noises has been robbed! For years he and his sound agents had been filling his archive with hundreds of formerly unimaginable and historical sounds and noises never ever heard before, all carefully wrapped in »sound bags«. Outside the protective walls of the archive the sounds keep fresh for only a short time. Not only is a spoiled sound bag permanently destroyed – it also sounds really horrible to the unlucky person who opens it. The young audience follows Dr Sound´s adventures over four related concerts and gets to know different ensembles and music styles in a playful manner. After three concerts in Hamburg’s local community centres or schools everyone comes together for the grand finale at the Laeiszhalle. »Die verdächtige Klang-Spur« is a cooperation of Elbphilharmonie Kompass, the Sibelius Academy, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and the Finnish Institute in Germany as partners of cool2014.de. Supported by the Mara and Holger Cassens Stiftung, Christina and Dr. Christoph Lohfert and Christa and Peter Potenberg-Christoffersen
