Talente entdecken: Jonathan Fournel
Mozart / Franck / Szymanowski
Brilliant timbres
At the piano keyboard he feels like a painter standing before a canvas: the flourishes of the latter’s brush supply the inspiration for his own style; he strings harmonious compositions onto abstract splotches of notes, and wanders between all the facets of the musical palette. Jonathan Fournel did not need first prize at the Concours Reine Elisabeth in Belgium to prove his exceptional talent. With the release of his debut album, the young pianist gives us a foretaste of his artistic playing.
»With Brahms, to whom I have dedicated this first CD recital, I fond myself constantly torn between my admiration for every single cell of the music and the necessity of depicting a complete landscape with a horizon in my sights.« His love of detail, his passion for delicacy, his quest for the endless expanses of the horizon – these are characteristics that make his concert in the series »Talente entdecken« (Discovering talents) a very special experience.
